Comic Mint is your best source for 100% genuine Simpsons Animation Artwork licensed by Twentieth Century Fox.
We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic eleventh season episode "Eight Misbehavin" (1999).
Apu and Manjula become the parents of octuplets (they were trying for one baby, but Manjula was given an excess of fertility pills by Dr. Hibbert and The Simpsons).
Later, Apu is met by the owner of the Springfield Zoo, a man named Larry Kidkill. Kidkill offers to put Apu's children in a nursery. Although Apu is not open to the idea at first, he caves in and reluctantly accepts. The children are the stars of a show at the zoo named "Octopia"
Bart: (in audience) "I can't believe we're going to see the octuplets" Lisa: "You already saw them!" Bart: "Yeah, but now their umbilical cords have fallen off!"
Larry Kidkill stands onstage: "Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for the eight wonders of the third world. Welcome to Octopia!"
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 17:52 mark. The characters are hand-painted onto seperate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
