Comic Mint, your best source for rare, kooky, and classic animation art, is pleased to offer JETSONS fans this large-scale delight!
The hit teleseries of the 1960s had gained sufficient new momentum by 1990 to spawn a feature-length theatrical film.
One of the best things about Jetsons: The Movie is its stunningly painted title card, frozen in time for a deeper appreciation. Everything but the circle-R trademark bug is painted, including the title lettering and its persuasively metallic details. Not to mention the entire Jetson family and its futuristic coupe. Gouache and ink with airbrush effects on Illustration board. The image area measures 23.5" x 16.5 inches, and is in excellent condition.
One-of-a-kind artwork such as this is extremely rare, and highly sought after.
Film Synopsis:
"Jetsons: The Movie" is a 1990 American animated musical comic science fiction comedy-drama film produced by Hanna-Barbera and released by Universal Pictures on July 6th, 1990. Based on the cartoon series The Jetsons, the film stars the voices of George O'Hanlon, Penny Singleton and Mel Blanc, all veterans of the series, in their last voice-acting roles.
In 1989, both O'Hanlon (on February 11th) and Blanc (on July 10th) died during production of the film, which was dedicated to both their memories and since no new episodes, new spin-offs, new specials or any new movies were produced to continue from where the series left off, the film serves as the finale to the television series.
