Comic Mint is your best source for 100% genuine Simpsons Animation Artwork licensed by Twentieth Century Fox.
We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic SIMPSONS eighth season episode # "The Springfield Files" (1997).
After leaving Moe’s Tavern intoxicated, Homer wanders around and winds up in a dark, scary park full of leafless trees.
Homer plows through a mess of branches and plants and runs across a log in the middle of the misty night. For effect, an owl hoots. Homer trips over a branch. (For more effect, the chilling music most associated with "The X-Files" begins to play) What he sees before him is an eerie, green glowing figure with a large bulbous head, enormous dark eyes and a contorted, spindly body!
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork! The characters are hand-painted onto separate cels, and placed against a copy made from the original matching scene background.
This 12 field animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and has the three-peg punch holes. This cel bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
