We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this outstanding hand painted original key master setup: Original production cel applied to the matching original hand painted background, from the classic sixth season cliff hanger episode "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part One" (1995).
In this scene, Homer has sent a box of candy to Mr. Burns with a photo in it, so that Burns remembers him:
Smithers: Er, um, there's some candy right here, Sir. (points to a box) Why don't we eat this instead of stealing?
Burns: Oh, very well. (they open it and start eating; a photo is slowly uncovered)
Smithers: Now look, there's a photo in here.
Burns: Ah yes, I believe that's little Maggie Simpson, the baby who found my precious teddy bear Bobo. Oh, and that Simpson mutt, my former guard dog. Oh and um, that's uh, Bart Simpson, he was my heir for a brief period, you know?
Smithers: Yes sir, I remember. (later, they both look ill)
Burns: Anything left?
Smithers: Uh, only the sour quince log, sir. (the log covers Homer's face)
Burns: Ew! Dispose of it. And, uh, send a thank you note to Marge,Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson. Homer's best-laid plans end up in the garbage bin, as a melted piece of candy is stuck to the photo of his head.
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this scene on screen around the 08:41 mark.
The animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied by the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
