Balto Presentation Cel and Production Background Setup (Universal/Amblin, 1995).

Original hand-painted and hand-inked presentation cel featuring the film’s villain, Steele, a fierce and arrogant Malamute, with Dixie, a female Pomeranian and one of Jenna's friends who adores Steele until his lies are exposed by Balto,

The cel is created from the original production animation drawings, which are not included.
This was the only such presentation cel made, and it is applied to the original hand-painted production background.

The artwork is in fine condition, with the background measuring 24." x 14" inches. The outer border includes a signature along the lower right (possibly by Colin Simpson, who was the background supervisor for the film).
The cel has the official “Balto” gold seal (upper right corner) and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.

Balto is a 1995 American live-action/animated adventure film directed by Simon Wells, produced by Amblin Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures.
The film is loosely based on a true story about the dog of the same name who helped save children infected with diphtheria in the 1925 serum run to Nome. The film stars Kevin Bacon, Bridget Fonda, Jim Cummings, Phil Collins (in a dual role) and Bob Hoskins.
