Comic Mint, your best source for rare, kooky, and classic animation art, is pleased to offer Walter Lantz fans this sensational hand-painted and hand-inked limited edition cel titled 'Fish Locker', which is placed against a colorful lithographic background.

"Fish Locker" is an original work of art, specially designed by Lantz studio artists and approved and signed personally by Walter Lantz (1899-1994). This cel features CHILLY WILLY in a scene inspired by the 1955 Academy Award nominated cartoon "Legend of a Rock-A-Bye Point". The film was directed by the legendary Tex Avery, and features a polar bear who tries to steal food from shipboard without awakening the ferocious bulldog. Since Chilly wants the same fish, he does everything in his power to awaken the dog.

Chilly Willy is Walter Lantz's second most famous character. Tex Avery put his unique stamp on the penguin during his formative period in the early 50's. This cartoon is a sublime example of Avery's artistry.

This piece is especially cool as it has been SOLD-OUT for over two decades, as it was released way back in 1991, and is very hard to find. It is one of only 200 pieces in the world, which is hand-numbered and the image area measures 13" by 16" inches. The cel has the official Walter Lantz Productions gold seal (lower right corner) and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
