We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic season two episode "Bart the Daredevil" (1990).

On the class trip, Bart mopes because he's run out of things to jump. He then sees Springfield Gorge!
Bart: "Otto, I'm going to leap over Springfield Gorge on my skateboard”
Otto: "You know, Bart, as the only adult here, I feel I should say something?”
Bart: “What?” Otto: "COOOOOOOOL !!!!!"

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. This setup is comprised of three separate cels, the first being OTTO which appear on screen around the 13:54 mark, and the cels of Bart appear on screen around the 13:57 mark. The cels are placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Bart the Daredevil" is the eighth episode of The Simpsons' second season and aired on December 6th, 1990. It was written by Jay Kogen and Wallace Wolodarsky and directed by Wes Archer. In the episode, the Simpsons go to a Monster truck rally that features famous daredevil Lance Murdock. Bart immediately becomes enamored and decides that he wants to become a daredevil as well. Bart's first stunt ends in injury, and despite the family and Dr. Hibbert's best efforts, he continues to attempt stunts. Bart decides to jump the Springfield gorge, but Homer learns about Bart's plan and makes him promise not to jump it. However, Bart breaks his promise and goes to jump the gorge. Before the act, though, Homer stops him just in time and gets Bart to swear that he will stop being a daredevil.
