Comic Mint is your best source for 100% genuine Simpsons Animation Artwork licensed by Twentieth Century Fox.
We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE VINTAGE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic SIMPSONS season thirteen episode # "The Frying Game" (2002).
This great scene features Homer, being strapped in the electric chair by the "Yes Guy" prison guard.
The “Yes Guy” is a Springfield character that seems to continually reoccur as an employee at pretty much any job possible, and is based on the American comedic actor, Frank Nelson, best known for playing put-upon foils on classic radio and television, and especially for his "EEE-Yeeeeeeeeesssss?" catchphrase.
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork! The characters are hand-painted onto separate cels, and placed against the matching scene print background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, 6 cel setup measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"The Frying Game" is the twenty-first episode of The Simpsons' thirteenth season. It first aired on the Fox network in the United States on May 19, 2002. In the episode, after accidentally injuring an endangered screamapillar, Homer is sentenced to two weeks of community service. As part of his sentence, Homer delivers Meals on Wheels to an old woman called Mrs. Bellamy, who subtly guilts him, and later Marge, into becoming her personal servant. One day, the two find Mrs. Bellamy dead in her house, having been stabbed by a man with braces who quickly escapes the murder scene. Being the only ones present when the police arrive, Homer and Marge are soon suspected for the murder.
