We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel from the classic season thirteen episode "Half-Decent Proposal" (2002).
After a few nights from lack of sleep, a bedraggled looking Marge, turns up at her sisters’ apartment, explaining to Patty and Selma that she needs one night away from Homer's snoring. Selma: "Great! we'll have a girls’ night!”
A couple of champales later, the ladies decide to watch some TV.
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 05:38 mark. The characters are hand-painted onto five seperate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Half-Decent Proposal" is the tenth episode of The Simpsons' thirteenth season. It first aired on the Fox network in the United States on February 10th, 2002.
In the episode, to earn money for her husband Homer's snoring problem, Marge agrees to stay with her old prom date, Artie Ziff, for one weekend (on the grounds that he try not to grope her like he did in "The Way We Was"), but when Homer thinks Marge broke her promise, he runs away with Lenny to work on an oil rig.
