Comic Mint, your best source for rare, kooky, and classic animation art, is pleased to offer SPEED RACER fans this sensational hand-painted limited edition cel titled "Race Against The Mammoth Car".
This 12-field limited edition cel was recreated from an original frame in the 1967 episode "Race Against The Mammoth Car". SPEED RACER was created by the Tatsunoko Studios in Japan in 1965. It came to America in a dubbed version in 1967. A total of 52 episodes were created. This cel is hand-painted and hand-inked, and bears the official SPEED RACER ENTERPRISES, INC. seal in the lower corner.
This cel is signed in Japanese by Ippei Kuri, the Key Animator/Director for the classic Speed Racer cartoons.
This edition has been SOLD-OUT for nearly three decades, as it was released way back in 1993 and was produced in an edition size of only 200 pieces in the world, which were hand-numbered. The artwork is fully matted and ready to pop straight into a frame, and is accompanied by the certificate of authenticity.
