Astonishing Tales Issues #21–24 (Dec. 1973–June 1974) featured "It! The Living Colossus”, starring a stone giant introduced in an anthological science fiction-monster story in Tales of Suspense #14 (Feb. 1961), with a sequel in issue #20 (Aug. 1961). The story "...We, the Gargoyles!” is written by Tony Isabella and pencilled and inked by Dick Ayers.
Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15" inches. Top edge is irregularly trimmed. Production tape on margins. Slight tanning, otherwise in excellent condition.

Lord Granitor (father of Prince Gorgolla from Strange Tales #74) is finally able to leave Stonus Five and go to conquer Earth; Magnor, who is among a rebel group of Gargoyles on earth, warns Bob O'Bryan of the coming invasion; Bob takes over the body of It, the Living Colossus to try to stop Lord Granitor.
