Story Synopsis for “Honey, I Shrunk the Hyperatomic Anti-Proton Cannon!”
This story takes place between issues #63 and #64, and Hank Pym has shrunk the eponymous cannon which poses a threat in the case that it is accidentally triggered. As Hank and Wonder Man tear the mansion apart looking for the cannon, they are soon accompanied by the other Avengers in the search.
While the team comb the mansion, the U.S.Agent suggests the team take a more organised and sensible approach but his suggestion is dismissed quickly by his team-mates.
After hours of searching, the group have still had no luck, and the Agent blames it on them not following his suggestion. The quest ends when Wonder Man finds the cannon amidst the food he’s eating and accidentally swallows it.
These two stories are obviously nothing ground-breaking, but are both cute in their own way. It’s nice to see cases where the Avengers are more themselves and not always facing down larger-than-life villains. There are some funny moments in these two short stories and some nice art as well.
