COMMENTS
Comic Mint is pleased to offer Disney fans this vintage full-figure production cel painting of Professor Ludwig Von Drake (holding a hunting rifle) in his 2nd TV Show (1961).
The image size is approximately 9" inches wide by 7.5" inches tall, and is painted in gouache on a 16" field animation celluloid sheet.
This original animation cel of Ludwig Von Drake was created in the Disney ink-and-paint department and photographed during the making of the animated television show “The Hunting Instinct”, which was directed by Wolfgang Reitherman and was first broadcast on October 22nd, 1961.
This was the second show Ludwig hosted after his debut on the series' first show: An Adventure in Color. His co-host was Herman (also known as Bootle Beetle), and together they explored man's' drive to hunt utilizing clips from a number of cartoons.
Studio designation "13" is written at lower right to indicate this cel's place in the scene. Our certificate of authenticity is included.
