Comic Mint is pleased to offer Disney fans this  special limited edition sericel from the animated classic, The Jungle Book, which was first released in 1967. 

The Studio has chosen to recreate Disney images from this film using the silk-screen print process of color reproduction. Disney artists, working from the original animation drawings used for the production of The Jungle Book as well as from film reference materials, have translated the original image to a hand-inked and hand-painted cel.

This limited edition was produced in 1992. It is comprised of 2,500 serigraph cels and 100 publisher’s proofs. The techniques used in the production of this edition and the proofs thereof were approved by Disney Art Editions. Conforming to the practice of fine-art printing, the silk-screens used to create the edition were destroyed when the edition was completed. There are no signed or numbered impressions in this edition. This sericel depicts Mowgli and Baloo walking hand in paw while singing “The Bare Necessities.”

This sericel measures 13" x 10" inches (unframed), and the cel has the DISNEY studio seal (lower corner) and is accompanied with the official certificate of authenticity.
