Comic Mint, your best source for rare, kooky, and classic animation art, is pleased to offer Hanna-Barbera fans this sensational hand painted production cel setup featuring Fred and Wilma from the holiday special "A Flintstone Christmas Carol" (1994).
The special premiered on the ABC on November 21st, 1994 and showcased the Bedrock Community Players putting on a stage presentation of "A Christmas Carol." Barney and Betty played the "Cragits" (Stone Age version of Cratchit), with Bamm Bamm as Tiny Tim. Mr. Slate played "Jacob Marbley," and Wilma was the play's stage manager. Even Pebbles joined in, playing Martha Cragit while Dino played the Cragit dog. Fred Flintstone of course was "Ebonezer Scrooge." Produced by Hanna-Barbera, the special features the voices of Henry Corden, Jean Vander Pyl and Frank Welker.
The artwork was created at the HANNA-BARBERA studios in Hollywood, California. The characters are hand-painted onto two seperate cels, and placed against an original hand-painted production background. Wilma appears on screen around the 1:05:06 mark; Fred appears on screen around the 1:05:08 mark. The cels are applied to the background which appears on screen around the 37:26 mark. The cel bears the Hanna-Barbera gold studio seal (lower corner), and is issued with a certificate of authenticity.
