Comic Mint, your best source for rare, kooky, and classic animation art, is pleased to offer Hanna-Barbera fans this sensational hand painted cartoon cel from the classic seventies television series 'Josie and the Pussycats'.
This RARE cel features the whole cast: From left to right: Alexander, Josie, Melody, Valerie, Alan, Alexandra and Sebastian - Alexandra's pet cat. The cel measures 12.5" by 10.5" inches, and the artwork is in excellent condition without any paint chipping or breaks in the black line. The characters are all fully painted onto celluloid, and the cel is placed against a piece of colored card.
The artwork was created in 1996 at HANNA-BARBERA as part of a marketing/publicity/Consumer Products project. Publicity/Title Cels are created during production of a series. Slides and transparencies are created from this art and sent to magazines and newspapers in order to gather interest in a series. Photos are also sent to fans who write into the studio requesting a photo.
Cels such as this are EXTREMELY RARE and were NEVER made available in stores, so finding a cel such as this one with the main cast is virtually impossible!
