Cool World Original Production Cel and Key-Master Production Background (Paramount, 1992).
Here is an exceptional scene featuring the Goons, a street gang affiliated with Holli Would and secondary antagonists in the movie Cool World. Piled on top of each other is Slash, on top of Bob (dressed in drag), Mash (the massive purple beast) and Bash (the gang’s goofball). The Goons have dropped off Jack Deeds (Gabriel Byrne) at Holli's abode, and try watching Holli make out with Jack in the bedroom.
This 12 field production cel has been meticulously hand painted onto celluloid (acetate), and is accompanied with it's amazing production background, rendered in gouache and airbrush on watercolour animation board. This amazing piece can been around the 50:46 mark of the film, measuring 14” x 10.5” inches, the artwork comes with the Paramount certificate of authenticity.
Cool World is a 1992 American live-action/animated feature film directed by Ralph Bakshi, and starred Kim Basinger, Gabriel Byrne, and Brad Pitt. It tells the story of a cartoonist who finds himself in the animated world he created, and is seduced by one of his characters, a comic strip vamp who wants to be real. Cool World marked Bakshi's return to feature films after nine years.
