COMMENTS
We are pleased to offer Ren & Stimpy fans this incredible original key master production setup from the classic Bob Camp & Jim Gomez episode "Reverend Jack" (1995).
This scene features Reverend Jack Cheese (who is a fictionalized version of series creator John Kricfalusi). Reverend Jack Cheese is a brooding, deeply troubled itinerant preacher who wears a sausage link and a hunk of cheese with an olive and toothpick on it on the top of his head and steaks on his feet!
The character is voiced by legendary voice impressionist, Frank Gorshin, who played the Riddler in the 1960s Batman series.

The background was painted by Scott Wills, and the episode was directed by Craig Bartlett (creator of Hey Arnold).
This is a one-of-a-kind piece that was filmed under the camera, and used in the making of this Ren & Stimpy episode.
Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen around the 01:51 mark.

This setup is comprised of two hand painted celluloids placed against the matching hand-painted scene background.

The animation cels measure 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and have the three-peg punch holes, and bears the Nickelodeon gold seal (upper corner).
The matching scene background is hand painted in gouache on board, measuring 10.5 inches by 13.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes.

The artwork is also accompanied with the original Nickelodeon certificate of authenticity, and is in excellent condition.

Episode Synopsis:
"Reverend Jack" is the eighteenth episode of Season 5 of The Ren & Stimpy Show, which aired on December 9th, 1995.
Ren and Stimpy have new jobs, this time, they're meat truck drivers. What they like most about their job is that they get to work for the Reverend Jack Cheese, a genius who preaches the gospel of meat through his puppet shows. Once enough kids have assembled around the truck, it stops and converts into a stage where Reverend Jack (with Ren and Stimpy controlling puppets) tells about how man and his meat used to live in harmony before meat turned on man, which causes an offended cow to throw rocks at the stage. After the show, Ren and Stimpy invite the kids to enjoy delicious meat treats.
