We are pleased to offer this sensational studio publicity cel, which recreates one of the great scenes from “The Ren & Stimpy Show”.
The ‘farewell’ segment is often considered by fans as one of the best moments of the entire series.
Ren: "Boy, Stimpy. We sure had a lot of fun today, didn't we? So long, kids! Stimpy, say goodbye"
Stimpy: "Duh, where are we going?"
Ren: "The show's over. See ya next time!"
Stimpy: "Next time, when's that?"
Ren: "Pretty soon, don't worry"
Stimpy: "Pretty soon? How long was that?"
Ren: "In a little while, man!"
Stimpy: (crying) "A little while!? What'll we do till then?"
Ren: "Why, you can eat though the asparagus"
Stimpy: “Bleah!” (Stimpy was crying and hugs Ren, Ren comforts Stimpy. Ren looks at Stimpy and Ren has an idea)
Ren: "Stimpy, I know! You can get a pack of the cat litter box!” (gives Stimpy a bag of Gritty Kitty Litter)
Stimpy: "Oh joy!” (takes the bag and runs off-screen - bag-tearing and litter-crunching noises are heard)
Ren: "Eh, goodbye folks!"
Stimpy: "Duh, goodbye folks"
The animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes, and bears the Nickelodeon gold seal (upper corner). The cel is placed against the matching scene background and is accompanied with the original Nickelodeon certificate of authenticity. The artwork is in excellent condition. This scene appears on screen around the 22:25 mark.
Episode Synopsis:
"The Big Shot" is a first season episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show that originally aired on August 11th, 1991 and was the second episode in the series.
Stimpy enjoys living his new life in Hollywood, and becomes a big star, but after a while, they both start to miss each other and eventually Stimpy gives up all of the money and fame to see Ren again.
