This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 10:36 mark. The characters are hand-painted onto six seperate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Lisa the Simpson" is the seventeenth episode of the ninth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on March 8th, 1998. In the episode, Lisa fears that she may be genetically predisposed to lose her intelligence after Grandpa tells her of a family gene that can permanently to lose her intelligence until Dr. Simpson reevaluates her. Meanwhile, Apu discovers Jasper Beardly frozen in his freezer, and turns the Kwik-E-Mart into a tourist's trap. This episode received positive reviews from critics, and is considered one of the best episodes of the ninth season.
