We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic twelfth season episode "A Tale of Two Springfields" (2000).

This scene begins with Homer on the couch, listening to the radio. After the traffic report, Marty and Bill announce free concert tickets to The Who. Bill: "And now, we'll dial our big winner at random” (puts a sound-bite tape into the console) Singers: "Dialing at random" Marty: Okay, let's start with 5-5-5-0-1-1, and 3!” (at home, Homer's anticipation mounts) Homer: "That's my number! Jumps near the phone, ready to pick up!” Burns: (on radio) "Ahoy, hoy!” Homer: "Hey, that's not me!” Bart: "Dad, we're not in their area code any more"

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 05:36 mark. Homer is hand-painted onto a single cel, and placed against a copy of the scene matching background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
A Tale of Two Springfields" is the second episode from season twelve of the animated TV series The Simpsons and is the 250th episode of the series overall in both broadcast and production order.
When the phone company gives Springfield a new area code, Homer revolts taking the part of Springfield with the new area code (the poor side of town) with him. Soon it's Olde Springfield versus New Springfield. As mayor of New Springfield Homer runs it haphazardly and soon the population of New Springfield moves over to Olde Springfield, leaving the Simpson family as the only residents. It takes a Who concert to bring the two parts of Springfield together.
