We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic season two episode "One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish" (1991).
Great image of Homer sitting at ‘The Happy Sumo’, a new sushi bar. After sampling most of the items on the menu, he tries sushi made from the fish fugu, the most poisonous fish in the world !!!!
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 04:01 mark. The character is hand-painted onto a single cel, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish" is the eleventh episode of The Simpsons' second season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on January 24, 1991. In the episode, Homer consumes a poisonous fugu fish at a sushi restaurant, and is told that he has only twenty-two hours left to live. He accepts his fate and makes a list of all the things he wants to do before he dies.
