Comic Mint is your best source for 100% genuine Simpsons Animation Artwork licensed by Twentieth Century Fox.
We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic fifth season episode "Homer the Vigilante" (1994).

This sensational cel features Homer in a parody of the character Slim Pickens from the classic sixties movie “Dr. Strangelove”.
In the scene, Homer visits Herman’s Military Store and sees a miniature version of the A-Bomb which the government built in the fifties to drop on beatniks. Homer imagines flying overhead in a plane, jumping on the A-bomb and falling whilst riding the bomb, cheering and waving his hat like he’s riding a bronco!

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 09:51 mark.
Homer and the bomb are hand-painted onto two separate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, 2 cel setup measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Homer the Vigilante" is the eleventh episode of The Simpsons' fifth season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on January 6th, 1994.
In the episode, a crime wave caused by an elusive cat burglar plagues Springfield. Lisa is distraught to find her saxophone has been stolen, and Homer promises to get it back. The police are ineffective, so Homer takes charge of a neighborhood watch. However, under his leadership it becomes more like a vigilante group, and fails to catch the burglar. With the help of Grampa, Homer discovers that the burglar is a charming senior named Molloy. Molloy is arrested, but he outwits the citizens of Springfield and escapes.
