We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic eighth season episode "Treehouse of Horror VII" (1996).
In the evening, the Simpsons and Dr. Hibbert, are gathered around the dinner table with Hugo in lieu of Bart, for a nice family dinner.
Hibbert: "Care for a drumstick Hugo?" Hugo noisily eats his drumstick in 3 seconds wipes his mouth then starts eating the napkin! Lisa: “Mom, Hugo's eating his napkin” (everybody starts laughing).
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel setup (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork. Hugo appears on screen around the 07:13 mark, and Lisa appears on screen around the 07:14 mark. Both characters are hand-painted onto seperate cels and placed against the matching scene print background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Treehouse of Horror VII" is the first episode of The Simpsons' eighth season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on October 27th, 1996.
In the segment titled "The Thing and I", Homer and Marge warn the children not to go up into the attic. Of course they do and there they discover Bart's Siamese twin, Hugo, who plans to sew them back together.
