Comic Mint is pleased to offer Looney Tunes fans this original production storyboard featuring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd from the Friz Freleng theatrical feature "Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie" (1981).
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-pencilled storyboard used to produce the bridging sequences in this classic motion picture.
Storyboards are the first step in the animation process. The FRIZ FRELENG production team used them to determine exactly how they wanted that scene to look, and a massive creative effort is put into the storyboards. This page features hilarious insights into the making of the film, along with full script dialogues that made it onto the big screen.
The storyboard is graphite and coloured pencil on 12" field animation paper measuring 12.5" x 10.5" inches. The artwork is in excellent condition, and is issued with a certificate of authenticity.
This is the second feature-length film containing classic Warner Brothers cartoons linked together by newly animated footage. It is divided into three parts, all of which are being shown in a theater as part of a film ceremony honoring the classic Looney Tunes characters. In Part 3, Bugs introduces us to the Oswald Awards, and then hosts the ceremony himself, announcing the nominees - the Wolf from Three Little Bops, , Sylvester & Tweety, and himself. During all this, Daffy Duck continually gripes about the fact that he's not being nominated. When Bugs wins the award, Daffy becomes furious and challenges Bugs to a talent showdown. Bugs seems to have the audience's favor, but Daffy eventually wins their applause by blowing himself up. Bugs gives the now-ghostly Daffy the award, with the duck responding "It just goes to show you, you gotta kill yourself to win an Oswald in this town!"
