Comic Mint is pleased to offer Looney Tunes fans this unique piece of animation art featuring WileE. Coyote and Road Runner in this sold out 12 field cel entitled: "Fast and Furry-ous".
Chuck Jones has had one of the longest and most productive tenures in animation history. In that tenure, he created two of the most alluring characters to date inside the Looney Tunes lineup, those being Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. What makes these characters memorable is their lack of dialogue, which is instead substituted with body language and situation.
In this image taken from the Jones-directed 1949 short, "Fast and Furry-ous," Wile E. has taken the brunt of one an explosive effort toward the Road Runner. Also shown in this image is the trademark look of dismay on Wile E. that he projects to the audience after yet another failed attempt on the speedy bird.
After selection of an image from a Chuck Jones cartoon, noted director Darrell Van Citters recreates the animation from the original film. The background is digitally recreated from the original film. It is then reproduced as a fine art Giclle print. The master inking was made by Laurie Dindis, and silk-screened onto acetate along with the Clampett Studio Collection seal of authenticity. Each cel was expertly hand-painted on the reverse side in the classic animation style.
In the final step of production, the edition number was hand-inked on each cel in an edition size of 50. The artwork has an image area measuring 12.5" x 10.5" inches (unframed), and is accompanied with the studio certificate of authenticity.
