Comic Mint, your best source for Ren & Stimpy animation art, is pleased to offer fans this original hand painted "FREEZE" shot background from the John Kricfalusi episode # "Fire Dogs" (1991).

This hand painted background features a recruitment poster hanging outside a fire station wall, with a Dalmatian dressed in a firefighter's outfit and pointing down at the viewer. The poster reads "FIRE DOGS NEEDED! GOOD PAY BENEFITS. ONLY DALMATIANS, PLEASE”.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece! Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen around the 0.2:47 mark.

The background artwork is painted in gouache on board, and measures 10.5 inches by 13 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes. There is a clear cel overlay which bears the Nickelodeon gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied by the original Nickelodeon certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

Episode Synopsis:
"Fire Dogs" is a first season episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show that originally aired on September 29th, 1991 and was episode 7.
Disguised as dalmatians to get food, shelter and money, Ren and Stimpy get jobs as fire dogs. Although they do not closely resemble dalmatians, a can of spotted "dalmatian paint" allows them to pass as the spotted animals!
