We are pleased to offer Ren & Stimpy fans this incredible original key master production setup featuring Ace Reporter, Ren Hoëk, from the classic “Mr. Horse Returns” segment. This appeared before the John Kricfalusi episode "A Visit to Anthony" (1993).
This is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece that was filmed under the camera, and used in the making of this episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen around the 00:13 mark.
The animation cels measure 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and have the three-peg punch holes, and bear the Nickelodeon gold seal (upper corner). The matching scene background is hand painted in gouache on board, measuring 10.5 inches by 13.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes. The artwork is also accompanied with the original Nickelodeon certificate of authenticity, and is in excellent condition.
Episode Synopsis:
"A Visit to Anthony" is a season two episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show that originally aired on May 8th, 1993 and was the 30th episode in the series.
Mr. Horse was featured in a short at the beginning of this episode, titles "Mr. Horse Returns". He plays a GI (at the rank of Private E-2) returning from an unspecified war. He is interviewed by Ren Hoëk, Ace Reporter, who asks him a series of questions about the war. When asked by the reporter if the sheep in his arms is his fiancée, Mr. Horse snaps back, "No, man, it's my sheep!"
