This jewel of a piece is from the episode's opening sequence, which parodies the Steven Spielberg film "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981). 
Bart, in the role of Indiana Jones, steals Homer's penny jar (instead of a Fertility Idol) and escapes from a furious Homer, who chases him throughout the house, before escaping from the garage. Bart hops aboard the school bus and tips his hat good-bye as Homer shouts incoherently in his underpants waving a garden rake in anger. Please note that the school bus is also a production cel.

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted piece that was filmed under the camera, and used in the making of this Simpsons episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork!

The animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied by the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS: 
"Bart's Friend Falls in Love" is the twenty-third episode of The Simpsons' third season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on May 7th, 1992. In the episode, Bart's best friend Milhouse falls in love with the new girl in school, Samantha Stankey. Milhouse and Samantha spend all their free time together, leaving Bart feeling jealous and excluded. In order to ruin their relationship, Bart tells Samantha's strict father about it. As a punishment, Samantha is sent to an all-girls Catholic school, while Milhouse is left behind heartbroken. Meanwhile, Homer orders a subliminal cassette tape to help him lose weight, but is accidentally sent one that helps him increase his vocabulary after the weight-loss tapes sell out.
