Comic Mint is pleased to offer Looney Tunes fans this unique piece of animation art featuring the Tasmanian Devil and Bugs Bunny in this sold out 12 field cel entitled: "Devil May Hare".

In "Devil May Hare," directed in 1954 by Robert McKimson, we find wild animals gone... well... wild. In the jungle, they run from an enormous terror that we soon see as the Tasmanian Devil. He is a small, squat, ugly little beast with an enormous mouth, sharp teeth and a brow-line that very rarely instills a look other than terrifying. But in this cartoon, which also stars Bugs Bunny, the rabbit eventually gets the best of the Devil. Among his various tricks upon the unsuspecting and voracious Devil, is holy matrimony, in which Bugs calls in a mail-order she-Devil for our hairy, snarling groom.

Among the characters Robert McKimson produced, the Tasmanian Devil ("Taz,") has been the most popular. Despite appearing in only six cartoons, his combination of pure rage, a physically strange body, and overall aggression, has made him one of the most loved personalities in the Looney Tunes lineup.

After selection of an image from a Robert McKimson cartoon, noted director Darrell Van Citters recreates the animation from the original film. The background is digitally recreated from the original film. It is then reproduced as a fine art Giclle print. The master inking was made by Laurie Dindis, and silk-screened onto acetate along with the Clampett Studio Collection seal of authenticity. Each cel was expertly hand-painted on the reverse side in the classic animation style. In the final step of production, the edition number was hand-inked on each cel in an edition size of 50.
The artwork has an image area measuring 12.5" x 10.5" inches (unframed), and is accompanied with the studio certificate of authenticity.
