Comic Mint is pleased to offer Looney Tunes fans this unique piece of animation art featuring Bugs Bunny with Rocky and Mugsy in this sold out 16 field cel entitled: "Bugs and Thugs".

This limited edition cel was inspired by such classic Looney Tunes cartoons as "Bugs and Thugs" and "Bugsy and Mugsy" (both directed by Friz Freleng). This image, created by noted Warner Bros. animator Virgil Ross, captures bantam-weight Bugs as he "puts uo his dukes" to the pugnacious pair known as Rocky and Mugsy.

This limited edition cel began with a drawing by Virgil Ross. The master character line was then hand-inked onto an acetate sheet (or "cel") along with the Warner Bros. Masters Collection / Virgil Ross gold seal.

Each cel was then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. The original background was reproduced using the lithography process on acid-free paper. In the final step of production, the edition number was hand-inked on each cel in an edition size of 500. This is the only unsigned Virgil Ross limited edition, and was completed and produced after his death in May of 1996.
This edition of 500 pieces (worldwide) has been SOLD-OUT for nearly two decades, and is very hard to find.

The artwork has an image area measuring 16" x 13" inches (unframed), and is accompanied with the studio certificate of authenticity.
