We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic fourth season episode "So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show" (1993).
After coming out of a coma, Homer walks out of the hospital emergency room, still under the assumption that it is April Fools' Day, trying to fool the family by saying he is taking them to Hawaii. However, Bart, Lisa, and Marge tell Homer that the current date is May 16, and that Homer was in a coma for 7 weeks, and that he lost 5% of his brain as a result !!!!
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted piece that was filmed under the camera, and used in the making of this Simpsons episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork! The characters are hand-painted onto four separate cels, and placed against a copy made from the original matching scene background.
The animation cel measures 12.5 inches by 10.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied by the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show" is the eighteenth episode of The Simpsons' fourth season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on April Fools' Day, 1993.
In the episode, Homer plays a series of practical jokes on Bart, and to get even, Bart shakes up a can of Homer's beer with a paint shaker. Homer opens the can, resulting in a huge explosion that lands him in the hospital, where he goes into a coma. At Homer's bedside, the Simpson family reminisce, mainly about moments relevant to Homer's life.
