The Ren and Stimpy Show “Ren’s Brain" Production Cel Setup (1995).
We are pleased to offer Ren & Stimpy fans this original production cel setup from the Season Five episode directed by Chris Reccardi.
This cel features a great image of Stimpy holding up Ren after he wakes up, missing his brain.
Stimpy (holding up Ren like a rag doll) "G-gee Ren, W-will you PLAY with me? (Ren makes wacky gurgling sounds) Stimpy then looks at the viewers "He'll play with me... (groans, inhales, excited) JOY !!! (normal voice) Oh Ren, I've dreamed of this for years!”
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted cel setup which was filmed and used in the making of this episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork which appears on screen around the 06:44 mark.
The hand painted production cels measure 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and have the three-peg punch holes, and bear the “Spike" seal (lower corner). The cels are placed against the matching scene background, and is accompanied with the original Spike TV certificate of authenticity. The artwork is in excellent condition.
Episode Synopsis:
"Ren's Brain" is an episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show that originally aired on October 7th, 1995 and was the 80th episode in the series.
Stimpy re-enters the world of science as a "freelance brain surgeon." He soon runs out of good brains to conduct experiments on, so (ala "Stimpy's Invention") Stimpy removes Ren's brain.
