We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE VINTAGE hand painted original production cel, from the classic season two episode "The War of the Simpsons" (1991).
Sensational vintage cel of Homer triumphantly rowing his boat on the lake, after reeling in the giant fish "General Sherman", a famous part of the episode.
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted piece that was filmed under the camera, and used in the making of this Simpsons episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 19:40 mark. Please note that Homer, the boat, the fish and water ripples are all on celluloid.
The animation cel measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide and has the three-peg punch holes, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is accompanied by the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"The War of the Simpsons" is the twentieth episode of The Simpsons' second season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on May 2nd, 1991. In this episode, after Homer gets drunk and embarrasses Marge in front of their friends at a party, she signs them up for a church sponsored marriage retreat at Catfish Lake. Meanwhile, Grampa is left in charge of the kids.
