We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel, from the classic third season episode "Bart the Lover" (1992).
Homer and Marge are at the kitchen table, discussing buying Santas Little Helper a dog house, however, Homer has other plans. Homer: I'll build him a doghouse. (starts sketching) Marge: Oh, I don't know... Homer: Don't worry, I just drew up a little blueprint. Let me walk you through it. (shows Marge his sketch, the quality rivalling that of a 4-year-old).
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 08:45 mark. The characters are hand-painted onto separate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
