We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel setup, from the classic third season episode "Homer Defined" (1991).

Great image of Otto inside the Kwik-E-Mart, ordering a heat-lamp dog from Apu at the counter:
Apu: "Otto, do you know there's a small child inside your bus?”
Otto: (sees Bart) "Ooh, good thing you warned me. I was on my way to Mexico !!!"

Simpsons collectors please note that cels of Apu serving at the Kwik-E-Mart are extremely scarce !!!!

This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 04:12 mark. The characters are hand-painted onto two separate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.

This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"Homer Defined" is the fifth episode of the third season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on October 17th, 1991. In the episode, Homer saves the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant from meltdown by arbitrarily choosing the emergency override button using a counting rhyme. Homer is honoured as a hero and idolized by his daughter Lisa, but feels unworthy of praise, knowing his apparent heroism was blind luck. Meanwhile, Bart is downhearted after learning that Milhouse's mother forbids the boys to play together anymore because she thinks he is a bad influence on her son.
