We are pleased to offer SIMPSONS fans this RARE hand painted original production cel from the classic fifth season episode "The Last Temptation of Homer" (1993).
Homer walks into the lunch room at work, and starts chatting with Carl:
Homer: (hesitant) "So...what do you guys think of Mindy?" Carl: "Seems OK. Anybody see the game last night?” Homer: (dreamy) "Yeah...that Mindy seems real nice!"
This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted production cel (there are no others), and the artwork was filmed and used in the making of this SIMPSONS episode. Freeze-frame your DVD or Video, and you will see this unique piece of artwork on screen around the 07:34 mark. The characters hand-painted onto seperate cels, and placed against a copy of the matching scene background.
This 12 field, 3-peghole, celluloid measures 10.5 inches by 12.5 inches wide, and bears the Twentieth Century Fox gold seal (lower corner). The artwork is also accompanied with the original Twentieth Century Fox certificate of authenticity and is in excellent condition.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
"The Last Temptation of Homer" is the ninth episode of the fifth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on December 9th, 1993.
In the episode, a female employee named Mindy is hired at the nuclear power plant. Homer and Mindy find themselves attracted to each other after bonding over their shared interests of beer, donuts and television. Although Homer is tempted to sleep with Mindy, he remains faithful to his wife Marge. Meanwhile, Bartbecomes an outcast after medical treatments make him look like a nerd.
