Comic Mint is pleased to offer TOM & JERRY fans this long SOLD-OUT limited edition cel entitled "Dangerous When Wet" which is inspired by the 1953 classic by the same name.
You have to say that when it comes to beauties, both Tom and Jerry have impeccable taste. This image depicts the dream sequence English Channel swimmer Katie Higgins (played by Ester Williams) has where she is submerged in an underwater ballet with Tom and Jerry.
The art for this limited edition was created at the Hanna Barbera studio in Hollywood, by transferring the artist's inking onto an acetate sheet (or "cel"). Each cel was then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. Each "Dangerous When Wet" is individually numbered and features the signatures of Bill Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of Tom and Jerry, and Ester Williams.
This edition is numbered 145 out of a total of 500 pieces (worldwide), and is very difficult to find as it was released over 20 years ago. The artwork measures 16" x 12.5" inches and has the official Gold Seal of Authenticity in the lower left corner. The artwork is in excellent condition and is accompanied with the studio Certificate of Authenticity.
